Roscoe Compton-Kelly

Former nonprofit CEO, business consultant, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Roscoe Compton-Kelly (he/him) also known as Shantae — shares his personal story of embracing drag as both an art form and a powerful means of self-expression. For  over two decades, Roscoe has fused leadership in education, nonprofit management, and business consulting with deep philanthropic engagement and board service. As the Founder and CEO of Embyr Consulting Group, and through transformative roles at  Scholastic Inc. and Education Opens Doors, Roscoe has worked tirelessly to empower marginalized communities and expand opportunities for youth. His commitment to social change is further reflected in his board service with organizations such as Dallas Hope Charities, LGBT Outdoors, the Turtle Creek Chorale, and through his active involvement in initiatives like Black Tie Dinner, which unites community leaders, artists and advocates to drive impactful change.

Alongside his executive accomplishments, Shantae Morgan shines as a celebrated drag performer whose artistry is deeply intertwined with personal healing and advocacy. For more than a decade, Shantae has used the stage not only to entertain but also to share a story of resilience and transformation, raising thousands of dollars for LGBTQIA+ organizations across North Texas. By merging professional excellence with creative self-expression, Roscoe/Shantae demonstrates that leadership, artistic passion and philanthropic service are not separate pursuits but rather interconnected forces that uplift communities and redefine the meaning and purpose of drag in life.
