Shannon Tucker (she/her)
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Shannon discovered Free Mom Hugs in 2019, and immediately began searching for a local chapter as Pride season approached. She began volunteering with the Alabama chapter and has been a devoted volunteer ever since, starting as a hugger and growing into the role of state leader. 

Over the past few years, Shannon has served on the national level as co-chair of the chapter committee. In 2023, she was hired as a part-time volunteer coordinator to oversee and provide leadership for FMH volunteers. Her previous work experience is varied, and includes real estate and property management, cosmetology, and high-end jewelry sales. She is also a certified personal trainer, fitness instructor, and nutrition coach. 

Shannon enjoys spending time outside in nature and tending to her beloved animals, including cats, dogs, and chickens. She enjoys investing time with her husband of over 25 years and her daughter Mahaley, who lives in New York City. Shannon and her husband are avid concert goers, foodies, and best friends. Since joining FMH, Shannon never leaves her house without donning some type of Free Mom Hugs gear and a pouch full of stickers or buttons to share with everyone she meets.
