Jake is the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations for the Oklahoma State University Foundation. Prior to his position at the Foundation, he had an extensive career in Federal, State and Local Government including serving in the Office of Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin as Policy Director and Deputy Policy DIrector; The White House as Assistant Press Secretary to First Lady Laura Bush; The White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives as Associate Director; USAID Office of Legislative and Public Affairs as the Special Assistant to the Assistant Administrator; and Office of Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan as Press Deputy. Jake has also held positions in nonprofit organizations including as the Director of Development for the Louisiana Children’s Museum and as Program Director for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Initiative in New Orleans.
In addition to serving on the Free Mom Hugs National Board, he also serves as a Trustee for the Oklahoma AIDS Care Fund, and is a member of the Oklahoma City Downtown Rotary Club, Harding Charter Prep Community Advisory Council, and the Oklahoma Autism Foundation Strategic Planning Committee. Jake graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Public Relations.
In his spare time, Jake enjoys attending athletic events, museums, theater performances and concerts; shopping at estate sales; hosting dinners and socializing with friends.
